The Coos Bay Area Service Foundation was established in 2000 and is a 501c3 charity organization. The club membership’s fundraising efforts to support the Foundation include events, grant writing and direct donations from many members and community supporters. Recent activities have included: 

• On March 8th, 2025 the Coos Bay Area Zonta Service Foundation hosted another successful scholarship fundraiser! Raising over $27,000 on International Women’s Day! This year will celebrated Trish McMichael as our 2025 Community Supporter. See fun pics below. 
• A 70th Anniversary Dinner and Auction held in February of 2024 raised over $25,000 for scholarships and education programs.
• Two Traditional Irish Tea Parties raising over $5,000 each for education programs.
• Successful grant writing efforts to support the GRITT program!
• Our famous Celebrity Dinner and Auction, raising and distributing over $500,000 during a long 21 year run, pre COVID. 
• Our grant writing committee raised over $50,000 for the club’s Little Red Schoolhouse program which coordinated the purchase and distribution of basic school supplies to elementary schools throughout Coos County.
